FISD Study Trip
Frisco ISD Study Trip, Friday, October 9th 2009
The following is information for teachers and librarians of 4th graders in Frisco ISD attending the festival:
Your campus has been assigned to a morning or afternoon session. Below is the information that you will need to make your study trip a success. Please read the information carefully as there are some major changes this year. As always, thank you for your help to make this event such a huge success. We are very excited to bring you an amazing selection of professional storytellers as well as some very talented student storytellers from our area. We hope you and your students enjoy your time at the Lone Star Storytelling Festival.
General Information
- Class or school shirts are recommended to keep your class or school together

- Bus arrangements are being made on the district level. No need to worry about scheduling buses. It’s all done for you.

- You will not be riding the same bus home that you came on so please don’t leave anything on the bus. When it’s time to leave the buses will be lined up at the bus departure area. Please count and make sure all of your students are together before loading on the bus. If you get on a bus and then wait to count your students, you will hold up the buses behind you that are ready to leave. When you are all accounted for, get on the next available bus and tell the driver what school to go to. It’s that simple.

- Remember to discuss audience etiquette and how to be a good listener with your students before coming to the festival.

| IMPORTANT - Changes this year!
- FISD will no longer pay for students to attend the festival. Therefore, each student will be asked to pay $5 for a ticket to be returned with their permission slip.
|
- All money needs to go through the campus activity fund. Teachers will collect the permission slips and money and return them to the campus secretary.

| Note for AM session: Buses will be arriving at your campus around 8:55. The first concert begins at 9:45. We hope to have everyone in their seats by 9:40. You will be getting back to your campus around noon. If this interferes with your regular lunch time, please make arrangements to have lunch when you return from the festival. |

Note for PM session: Buses will be arriving at your campus around 11:25. The first concert begins at 12:15 so we hope to have everyone in their sears by 12:10. This schedule probably interferes with your lunch time so please be sure to make arrangements for your students to eat before they come. You will be getting back to campus around 2:30.
