Event Details
The Lone Star Storytelling Festival is an exciting, two day event that features some of the best known storytellers in the country. Back in its sixth year, the festival offers a mix of professional and local talent, and plenty of entertainment.
The Lone Star Storytellng Festival kicks off on Friday with a field trip day for local school children, and then opens to the public for Friday evening's Favorite Stories Concert at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday daytime events begin at 11:00 a.m. and include individual concerts by each national teller, as well as regional performers and local student tellers, live music, puppet shows at the top of each hour, and folk arts and craft demonstrations.
The Festival continues with a Bedtime Stories concert at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday for both the young and the young at heart. The festivities conclude with the final Laughing Night concert at 8:00 p.m., a feel good show featuring uproarious, comedy-infused stories and songs.
